Blessed are You, Lord our God,

through the love, example, and prayer of their parents.

Loving Father,
we thank you for loving us so much
that you gave us your Son to be one of us.
Bless + these gifts,
and let them be a sign of our love for others.
Help us to recognize the many gifts and talents
you have given to each of us,
and teach us to use them for your honour

Father in heaven, we praise you for sending your Spirit into our hearts to teach us to pray. Bless + this N., and teach us to use it as an aid to sincere and devoted prayer. (Upon entering the building, the priest sprinkles the rooms with holy water, saying:)
V. Peace to this house.
R. And to all who live in it.
V. Our help is in the name of the Lord.
R. Who has made heaven and earth.
V. The Lord be with you.
R. And with your spirit.
Let us pray.
Lord Jesus Christ,
You commanded Your apostles to beg a blessing of peace
on whatever house they should enter.
We beg of You, through our ministry, make this house,
destined for the education of boys (and/or girls,) a holy one.
Pour on it the richness of Your blessing and peace.
Make it their salvation, as You did for Zachaeus,
when You entered his house.
Have Your angels watch over it,
to drive away every hostile force.
Fill those who teach here with the spirit of knowledge,
wisdom, and fear of You.
Support with heavenly grace those who study here,
so that they may grasp with their
minds what is taught for their salvation,
keep it in their hearts,
and follow it out in their conduct.
May all who use this building be pleasing
to You in the exercise of every virtue,
so that they may sometime merit to be received
into their eternal home in heaven,
through You, Jesus Christ,
the Savior of the world,
who live and are King and God for ever and ever.

Look with kindness on this mother, give her comfort in moments of sorrow, and joy in her work for her family. Listen to her prayers, and bless + her in all she does for You. Let her share with Jesus Your Son and Mary our mother in the everlasting happiness of Heaven. Father, we ask this grace through Christ our Lord. Amen.

V. The Lord be with you. R. And with your spirit. Let us pray. Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the living God, You were begotten before all time, and yet desired to become an infant in time. You are delighted with the innocence of tender years. You lovingly embraced the children who were brought to You, and blessed them. In the blessings of Your sweetness, go before this infant (these infants) and grant that no evil may mar its (their) intellect. Grant too that, growing in age, wisdom and grace, it (they) may ever be pleasing to You, who live and are King and God with God the Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit, for ever and ever. R. Amen. (Then the priest sprinkles the infant (or infants) with holy water, saying:) May the peace and blessing of almighty God, the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, descend upon you and remain always. May almighty God bless you on this day when his only Son ascended into heaven to prepare a place for you. R. Amen! After his resurrection, Christ was seen by His disciples. When He appears as judge may you be pleasing for ever in His sight. R. Amen! You believe that Jesus has taken His seat in majesty at the right hand of the Father. May you have the joy of experiencing that He is also with you to the end of time, according to His promise. R. Amen! May almighty God bless you, the Father, and the Son, + and the Holy
Spirit.

Thank you for preparing this table before us.
Thank you for the bounty of the earth,
which nourishes our bodies.
Thank you for the abundance of your goodness,
which sustains our lives,
strengthening us to serve you more effectively.
Thank you for the hands that prepared this meal
and for the joy of being able to share it.
For all we have received and all that is yet to come, God,
we are thankful!

This day is full of beauty and adventure, help me Lord to be fully alive to it all. During this day, may I become a more thoughtful person, a more prayerful person, a more generous and kindly person. Help me not to be turned in on myself but to be sensitive and helpful to others. Let me do nothing today that will hurt anyone, but let me help at least a little, to make life more pleasant for those I meet. When night comes, may I look back on this day without regrets; and may nobody be unhappy because of anything I have said or done or failed to do. Lord God, bless this day for me and all of us. Make it a day in which we grow a little more like your Son, and gentle as Mary His Mother. Amen.
